SATs week! 8th - 12th May

Date: 14th May 2017 @ 8:57pm

Let’s celebrate - the SATs are over J!

Well done to all the children in Year 6 that took their SATs last week. They have put everything they have got into showing off all they have learned throughout KS2 into their SATs last week. We are all immensely proud of all the effort that the children put in!

It was a very busy week. Every morning, from Monday until Thursday, the children in Year 6 sat their statutory end of Key Stage assessments (SATs). To support our pupils through the week the school provided a nutritious breakfast every morning while also delivering a variety of PE activities and mindfulness colouring sessions in the afternoon.

At the end of the week, as a reward and to relax those hard-working brains, the children had a well disserved treat – a trip to the Odeon cinema!!

We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who supported our children in preparation. Especially Revd Nigel Eliott from St. Stephen’s Church in Sinfin, who was working with all the children to improve their reading skills and also to Ms.Donnelly who was supporting morning booster groups which have helped to master the children’s skills and enable them to gain more confidence. We couldn’t have done it without you.
