Summer term!

Date: 8th May 2017 @ 7:51pm

We are back at school and ready to face all the challenges that this term will bring! yes Children are well rested and full of energy. It is the time when we go outside more often for our PE lessons, and nature encourages us to stay healthy therefore we would like to remind all our children to bring PE kits to school but leave the sweets at home. laugh

In English, we have been talking about the traditional tales and we have read The Three Billy Goats Gruff story. Children had a chance to work in pairs or small groups to create a mind map of their version of the tale. We encouraged them to tell their stories to each other.

In maths, we have looked at the numbers from 0 to 100 and we tried to find 2 more and 2 less of a randomly picked number. Recently we have been working on counting back and we also learned about the quantity and value of money (coins).

Our new topic for history is 'castles'. We are learning about the structure of the castle as well as the purpose of each element.

The new topic for science is 'materials'. Children are taught about the difference between materials and the diverse use of them.
