Planned Admissions

The planned admissions number for our reception age group for the academic year 2016/17 is up to a maximum of 20. Details of the starting criteria for the academic year’s intake are available from the school Office. Applications for admission to Cottons Farm Primary in 2016/17 will be co-ordinated by Derby City Children and Young People’s Services. Applications for Cottons Farm Primary must be made to Primary School Admissions, The Council House, Corporation Street, Derby DE1 2FS, telephone 01332 642729. Forms will be available from the school office or from the Derby City Council website. If the number of requests for places exceeds the standard admission number, parents have the right of appeal against any refusal to admit.

Nursery Admissions

3 year olds:

Children are admitted to Nursery from the term after they turn 3 years old. All 3 and 4 year olds are eligible for 15 hours free funded nursery entitlement. If you wish to apply for a place in Nursery contact the school directly. Nursery places are in demand and we have a waiting list therefore we advise that you register your child for Nursery on his/her first birthday. The allocation of nursery places is in accordance with the Governors’ agreed criteria.
